Rachel K. Godfrey is a part-time lover and a full-time friend.

A narrative alchemist, Rachel looks to journalism, songwriting, and poetry to craft stories that center the impact of art and media on identity formation. Her work has been published in gal-dem, CRWN, Giddy, Clerestory Magazine, Taboo Tech, and more.

Rachel currently stewards City Rhythms, a musician spotlight series that asks Philadelphia-based artists to bring viewers to some of the most pivotal local spots in their music-making journeys. As creator, producer, and host, she is committed to creating an intimate space where local musicians can reflect on a life-through-sound.

Rachel is uncompromising in her commitment to youth development, crafting brave spaces alongside youth since her adolescence. She is currently the Director of Programs at Rock to the Future, which provides free music education, academic support, and professional guidance to Philadelphia youth.

As a musician, Rachel (stage name Sinoe) seeks collaboration with other Black and Brown creatives to bring musical modes of healing and dream-building to intergenerational audiences across Philadelphia. She is currently a participant in DayOneNotDayTwo’s Ascension Music Program.
